M/V The World is the largest private residential yacht on earth where its Residents travel the globe without ever leaving home. This community at sea first set sail in 2002 and has visited over 1,600 ports in over 120 countries. With a continuous worldwide itinerary that enables the vessel to span the globe every two-to-three years, The World is a complete floating city and private community. It offers the ultimate combination of luxury travel with world-class amenities and facilities. Its Resident owners are treated to anticipatory and personalized service much like that of a private yacht or well-staffed private home. The World is home to 150 families who hail from 20 countries and who share a sense of adventure, freedom and exploration. This one-of-a-kind Ship sails nonstop to the most breathtaking and exotic destinations imaginable – a different destination every few days on a continuous global journey. We love visiting both the Arctic and Antarctica on our endless voyages. As an AECO member, and especially when we visit Polar areas do we like to take onboard science projects and tasks in support of the local communities and the environment we get to visit in line with AECO’s 4 pillars of community engagement (1), environment (2), knowledge & science (3), and of course safety(4).
