Ambassador Program

Become an AECO Ambassador

Join us in promoting responsible expedition cruise tourism.

Are you closely connected to AECO’s work and inspired to contribute to its mission? AECO Ambassadors are engaged professionals who want to deepen their knowledge, actively share AECO’s values, and help bring our work into relevant arenas.

Through initiative, commitment, and collaboration, they play a key role in strengthening understanding of responsible expedition cruising across the Arctic.

The Ambassador Role

Ambassadors represent AECO formally only with the agreement of the Secretariat. In practice, the role is carried out through the following activities:

  • Represent the association at events, meetings, and conferences
  • Communicate AECO’s mission, guidelines, and positions within their professional networks
  • Share best practices related to safety, environmental protection, and community engagement in the Arctic
  • Identify opportunities for outreach and propose events, initiatives, or collaborations to the Secretariat
  • Support AECO’s visibility and credibility by acting as an informed point of contact for questions about the associations work, role, and standards

Path to Ambassadorship

The ambassador journey includes the following steps:

Training (Self-Study)

Ambassadors complete a structured self-study training program covering AECO’s work and guidelines.
