G Adventures’ MS Expedition program operates ship-based expedition voyages in polar regions including Svalbard, Greenland, Iceland and Antarctica. The MS Expedition has a maximum passenger capacity of 128 guests and is supported by an onboard Expedition Team of 16 staff, comprising naturalists, historians, scientists, photographers and professional guides. Expedition activities are conducted using a fleet of up to 14 Zodiac MK5s, enabling daily shore landings, coastal cruising and wildlife observation in remote and ecologically significant areas. Operations are structured to remain flexible in response to local environmental and ice conditions, with itineraries adjusted as required to maintain safety and compliance with regional regulations and AECO/IAATO guidelines. The program includes guided shore excursions, wildlife viewing, hiking and educational briefings, with a focus on interpretation of polar environments and support for citizen science initiatives where applicable. All operations are conducted with an emphasis on safety management, environmental responsibility and minimising disturbance to wildlife and sensitive habitats, while ensuring efficient passenger flow and landing logistics across expedition days.
