Meet AECO’s New Digital Content Creator

AECO is pleased to introduce its new Digital Content Creator, Håvard Vatshelle, who joined the Communications Department in April.

Can you tell us a bit about your background?

My background is in film and photography, with experience as a freelancer producing content for a wide range of audiences. Over the years, work has included creating video, photography, and digital media for both companies and private clients. Collaborating with diverse clients has contributed to a more human‑centred approach to storytelling and communication.

What drew you to this role and to AECO?

With previous experience in tourism, AECO’s focus on responsible Arctic tourism was a natural fit. The combination of creating value for local communities while contributing to the protection of nature was a particularly strong motivation.

What are you most excited about as you get started?

I have a strong interest in learning more about Arctic communities and the role communication can play in strengthening cooperation between stakeholders, AECO members, and local communities.
