AECO Fleet Emissions Overview

This report presents AECO’s first high-level assessment of CO₂ emissions across the AECO fleet, covering 2019, 2022, and 2023. Based on the Arctic Expedition Cruise Operators Fleet Emissions Baseline Assessment, it provides an initial benchmark for understanding the fleet’s climate impact.

Using AIS-derived operational data combined with vessel characteristics, the report offers insights into the scale and distribution of emissions associated with AECO member vessel activity and identifies key trends across the fleet.

The assessment was commissioned by the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) and subsequently reviewed and synthesized by Synergy.
