Financial Manager

Contribute to responsible tourism in the Arctic – as our new Finance Manager 

In this role, you contribute to responsible operations through sound financial management. You ensure structure, quality, and predictability in finances—a prerequisite for continuing and developing our work with responsible expedition tourism in the Arctic. 

You are responsible for the day-to-day finance function and work operationally and independently. At the same time, you collaborate closely with management, external service providers, and the organization’s members. 

Your responsibilities range from ongoing financial follow-up to further development of routines and processes, in line with needs and requirements. 

The position offers a broad role in a small organization, providing strong insight into the connection between finance and overall operations.

Key Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Budgeting processes and financial follow-up 
  • Accounting oversight and quality assurance 
  • Invoicing and follow-up of membership revenues 
  • Payroll, pensions, and insurance in coordination with external providers 
  • Financial reporting and decision support for management 
  • Liaison with auditors and coordination of the annual financial statements 

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, it is important that you meet the following criteria: 

  • Relevant education in finance and/or accounting 
  • Experience with accounting and financial follow-up 
  • Experience with payroll and invoicing 
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations 
  • Experience in an independent role, preferably in a smaller and international organization 
  • Strong English skills in addition to fluency in a Scandinavian language
