In an exciting new development, Campus Kujalleq has partnered with AECO. This initiative allows tourism guide students access to AECO’s Field Staff Online Assessment, providing them with valuable insights into the specific knowledge and skills required of guides on expedition cruise ships.
By integrating this tool into the curriculum, students are better equipped to meet industry expectations and operate professionally in Arctic conditions. The assessment allows students to delve into key topics such as safety, environmental awareness, and cultural understanding, which are essential for delivering top-quality guiding services.
The collaboration between Campus Kujalleq and AECO highlights the school’s commitment to offering education closely aligned with industry standards. It paves the way for students to develop skills that make them competitive and sought after in the growing tourism sector.
“We are proud to offer our guide students this unique opportunity to learn directly from an industry leader like AECO,” says Aaju Simonsen, Head of Tourism Education at Campus Kujalleq. “This is an important step toward strengthening the students’ professional foundation and creating more job opportunities for them in the future.”
Campus Kujalleq looks forward to continuing this collaboration and further strengthening the direct connection between education and practice within the tourism industry.
