• Small Boat Operational Guidelines

  Small boats are fully inflated vessels, semi-rigid or rigid hull inflatable boats, or similar crafts used for regular passenger landings and sightseeing cruises. These guidelines apply at all times – with or without passengers in the boat.

• Operational Guidelines

  AECO’s Operational Guidelines were originally developed with input from the Governor of Svalbard, the Norwegian Polar Institute, WWF’s Arctic Program Office, Visit Greenland, Greenland’s Ministry of Nature and Environment. They were adopted by the Annual General Meeting in 2004.

• Marketing Guidelines

  AECO's Marketing Guidelines have been revised and extended to a Communication Toolkit for AECO's members.

  When sailing in the Arctic, consider the distances, harsh conditions, lack of infrastructure and the need to be self-sufficient.
