The Arctic is changing, and so are the threats to maritime operations. As vessels continue to venture north, the risk of GPS jamming, malware, communication disruptions, and cyber-attacks is becoming increasingly sophisticated. Are you prepared to withstand these challenges?
The 2025 Joint Arctic SAR Event is a unique opportunity to join forces with experts, authorities, and industry leaders to address these growing threats. Gain critical insights, enhance your preparedness, and strengthen relationships that could prove vital in future operations.
The program will be developed from topics such as:
“Operation Blind Horizon”, led by the U.S. Coast Guard will focus on cyber-attack scenarios. The exercise aims to assess vulnerabilities in maritime cyber security and enhance coordination between government agencies and private operators. Key objectives include strengthening relationships and incident response strategies.
CCP Games is an Icelandic video game developer best known for creating EVE Online. Participants in the 2025 JASE will be presented with a unique opportunity to visit the company for a behind-the-scenes look at the development of EVE Online.
The game is built around a single-shard universe where player-driven economies, politics, and narratives unfold. We will hear about how they work to maintain a dynamic, living world, manage community behavior, and evolve the game’s complex systems and efforts to ensure a fair and safe environment for players while fostering creativity and innovation.
This event is open to relevant participants from operating members of AECO, such as commanding bridge officers, operation managers with roles in SAR operations, security- and IT officers, as well as governmental cyber security agencies, embassies’ representatives, and relevant participants from Arctic search and rescue entities.
