AECO’s Secretariat is excited to introduce three new team members who will play different roles in the growth and development of our organization. Their diverse background and expertise will strengthen the Secretariats’ ability to serve our members.
We are pleased to welcome Martin Wisth as chief financial officer.
– I have a background as a financial advisor at Sparebank Nord-Norge. Following that, I gained valuable experience as an auditor, working for BDO and KPMG.
– I was inspired by the opportunity to contribute to an organization that blends my expertise in finance with a strong commitment to sustainability in the Arctic region.
I’m drawn to AECO’s mission of promoting responsible tourism, and I’m excited by the challenge of developing financial strategies that support both growth and environmental preservation. The role offers a unique chance to make a meaningful impact while working in a dynamic, international environment, which aligns with my values and aspirations.
I look forward to collaborating with the leadership team to create robust financial strategies that support AECO’s growth and long-term goals. I’m also excited to ensure we make fiscally responsible decisions that maximize our resources and strengthen our overall impact.
We’re excited to have Milan Kolinsky join the AECO team as our new membership, event, and office coordinator.
– I have extensive experience in tourism, hospitality, leadership, and customer support.
I have worked as a customer support specialist at Booking.com, booking and administration manager/operations manager for a tourist resort, and I have experience as a travel agency consultant.
I have a master’s degree in tourism management from UiT, the Arctic University of Norway. During my studies, I developed a deep interest in sustainable tourism. Since then, I have been seeking a position in a company dedicated to developing more sustainable tourism, and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to start in my new position at AECO.
– I’m focused on streamlining our office processes and enhancing member engagement through thoughtful event planning and communications. My goal is to foster a welcoming environment for our members and ensure that every AECO event is a valuable experience for all involved.
Georg Lorentzen, AECO’s new maritime specialist.
– I’ve spent my whole working life in various maritime roles, both at sea and on land, and built up a range of experience. I have navigated in Arctic waters, and also taught future seafarers and worked closely with much of the legal aspects that regulate the maritime industry.”
“As a common thread throughout my career, my strong interest in safety, accuracy, and reliability runs. Therefore, it is very inspiring to contribute with my varied experience to the important tasks that both AECO and this position carry out.
“In my new role, I hope to bring a fresh perspective to AECO’s maritime initiatives and help shape future policies and strategies. I aim to support and contribute to AECO’s mission through close cooperation with the stakeholders and relevant authorities.”
