Welcome to AECO’s New Head of Administration & HR

AECO is pleased to welcome Nina B. Paulsen as our new Head of Administration and HR, effective August 13.

Nina brings with her over 20 years of experience in HR and management, rooted in a strong commitment to supporting others. She began her professional journey as a nurse, later moving into leadership roles in the healthcare sector, where she served as a department manager. Most recently, she worked as an HR Advisor at The Norwegian Arctic Student Welfare Organisation.

Nina’s areas of expertise include strategic HR, organizational development, labor law, HR processes, and communication—skills she looks forward to applying in support of AECO’s mission.

“What drew me to AECO was its strong values and commitment to responsible and sustainable tourism in the Arctic,” she says. “I’m excited about the opportunity to contribute strategically, work in a multicultural environment, and continue to grow both professionally and personally.”

As she settles into her new role, Nina is most looking forward to connecting with AECO’s members, learning more about expedition cruise tourism, and gaining a deeper understanding of the industry’s culture and needs.

“I hope to meet many of you at the Arctic Expedition Cruise Week in October,” she adds.
